Jcg1 Posted 21February, 2018 Report Share Posted 21February, 2018 Hey guys I have decided to give the old girl a birthday and get a killer paint job. my car has great paint at the moment but I want amazing paint. ‘What’s people’s experiences with glassuruit and ppg . i have been told porsche reccom3nd glassuruit but it doesn’t wear well. A panel beater told me he doesn’t like using it as the clear is no good and that it chips easily on front of car. he suggested ppg and flow coat for deep look. By the way my car is black
vl gra Posted 21February, 2018 Report Share Posted 21February, 2018 Don't agree with that comment about Glasurit. Can't go wrong with either paint brand IMO.
Stew F Posted 22February, 2018 Report Share Posted 22February, 2018 Any paint systems that are used by the trade will be good quality finishes, otherwise they wouldn't be used by the trade. Check out what the prestige repairers use. I used Debeer on my car last year and it puts the rest of the car to shame.
MrRPJ Posted 22March, 2018 Report Share Posted 22March, 2018 PPG stronger and harder wearing. Lexus use super high solids clear and that stuff is the bomb. Saying that tho paint is only as good as the applicator.
