Taffy Posted 6March, 2018 Report Share Posted 6March, 2018 Hey all, I was replacing brakes all round on the weekend and found the pads sent for the front are the same as the rear (same ID number etc). This does not match the set in the car which have 2 knob bits on the top. Looking on various sites there seems to be 2 types and my car while a 99 shows as having later pads. Any reason for this? Or is just poor date data on some sites and I was sent the wrong items which has resulted in my confusion. examples of both types can be seen in the pelican parts lists, thought not who I ordered from https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/SuperCat/0896/POR_0896_BRKPAD_pg1.htm#item2 My car is 99 c2 3.4 Used to only 1 design fitting the car. Thanks Taffy
OZ930 Posted 21May, 2018 Report Share Posted 21May, 2018 I have a 930 with 996 brakes and have the opposite issue. I need the pads without the anti rattle knobs and received pads with. We could have done a swap, but you probably have changed them by now. We would have to cross reference the part numbers but that's easy.
Taffy Posted 27May, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 27May, 2018 Hey @OZ930 the supplier took them and swapped them over for the anti rattle type. Good luck with getting a new set. Cheers, Taffy
