Ten Degrees Posted 10September, 2012 Report Share Posted 10September, 2012 Hi, i'm currently looking at a couple of 996's. One of them has the following options 665 (PCM2 basic module including radio) 666 (PCM2 telephone GSM) 670 (PCM2 navigation) 680 (bose sound) The owner has put in an after market unit, however says he still has the original MOST unit. Does this mean the car originally had the larger PCM2 unit, with Satnav etc? thanks Tim
Ten Degrees Posted 11September, 2012 Author Report Share Posted 11September, 2012 actually I've looked into this a little further. The car actually came with the standard stereo unit, which means those option codes make even less sense. Are there different codes for different model years and regions?? Can I just call Porsche and list the Vin number and option codes? I assume they can tell me more?? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks Tim
Chris-p Posted 11September, 2012 Report Share Posted 11September, 2012 Hi Tim, Yes you should be able to call Porsche and give them the vin and they should be able to tell you all you need to know. They normally have a lot of info on the cars, so that's what I would do. They are very helpful too... Good luck Cheers Chris
