Dave997S Posted 22April, 2019 Report Share Posted 22April, 2019 Shit. Took the Boxster and wife for a quick run to Inverleigh for lunch and upon getting home noticed a small tear on the passenger side. Looks to be as a result of a pinch or misalignment putting pressure on a spot and causing a very small tear (not all the way through). Rather than spending $989US getting a new roof from Pelican, can anyone recommend a repairer in Melbourne / Geelong area. Im going to back off the roof adjustment thinking this may be causing it. Dave997S Posted 4May, 2019 Author Report Share Posted 4May, 2019 Just a quick update on this. I took it to a repairer / motor trimmer and they advised it’s not a wear mark but someone has had a stab at it AND these cannot repaired, so I’ll need a complete new roof 😪. Thank the road gods for insurance and no claim bonus protection. firstone

Yeah, the repairer said someone has punched it with their key or something similar. The chap from PCA said about $3k for a replacement - forgot to ask if this includes labour 😬
firstone Posted 5May, 2019 Report Share Posted 5May, 2019 Throws your head around for a bit. Good insurance is a plus. New top is a plus. Does it have the glass window? If not will you opt for that type? Dave997S
