bear924 Posted 2May, 2019 Report Share Posted 2May, 2019 I found when I added blue tooth to my CDR220, I had to add a filter to the power line as I was getting an alternator whine through the speakers.
996TT Posted 2May, 2019 Author Report Share Posted 2May, 2019 Hi Bear 924, thanks for the input, did it all work perfect at the end. Called few of the audio visual guys and they suggested , better of to upgrade to an Alpine of sort and that when required just take out and plug in the cdr220 straight in. Cable and plugs will suit, they will modify accordingly.
bear924 Posted 2May, 2019 Report Share Posted 2May, 2019 Yes, worked well and was easy to install. If I remember correctly I had to remove the panel above the radio as well to guide the wires into place (otherwise radio wouldn't push in fully). Then I put the panel back. The item I purchased was: http://www.discountcarstereo.com/A2D-BKR.html Doesn't require any cable to be cut and is totally reversible. You do need to be able to turn your auxiliary port on the radio on, which you'll need your radio code for. Believe I purchased the filter from Jaycar. Sure you'll find one from whoever you buy the module from.
