Drivers Seat Removal

Hi guys,

My drivers seat does not react to the seat controls which makes it hard to remove the two rear "screws". The seat is at the rear so the front screws are out but rear ones are hidden.  The fuse is intact.

Is there a trick to manually moving the seat forward?  I am sure that someone else must have had a similar issue.

Cheers H

I reckon there was a discussion here on the forum about this exact subject a couple of months ago.

Thanks for info. I found the other posts and while similar to mine, I have no sounds at all when operating control levers.  The Owners Manual also does not expect it to ever fail, so no back up comments.  I will obviously try the spray and tap sequence, and maybe gain a little space if I take the rear seat squab out. Very hard to see under the seat, to establish if the motor can be reached in any way to dismount it.

Keep the ideas running guys, I appreciate the thoughts.

Hi, might be a dumb suggestion, but have double checked that the connectors under the seat are connected and locked together. If it is possible to tilt the back of the seat forward you should be able to lift the front of the seat up to check the connectors, they usually clip onto the cross rail.
