Subarubm Posted 22July, 2019 Report Share Posted 22July, 2019 Hi guys, My drivers seat does not react to the seat controls which makes it hard to remove the two rear "screws". The seat is at the rear so the front screws are out but rear ones are hidden. The fuse is intact. Is there a trick to manually moving the seat forward? I am sure that someone else must have had a similar issue. Cheers H

The Owners Manual also does not expect it to ever fail, so no back up comments. I will obviously try the spray and tap sequence, and maybe gain a little space if I take the rear seat squab out. Very hard to see under the seat, to establish if the motor can be reached in any way to dismount it. Keep the ideas running guys, I appreciate the thoughts. WB997.2GTS Posted 23July, 2019 Report Share Posted 23July, 2019 Hi, might be a dumb suggestion, but have double checked that the connectors under the seat are connected and locked together. If it is possible to tilt the back of the seat forward you should be able to lift the front of the seat up to check the connectors, they usually clip onto the cross rail.
