pocketscience Posted 21July, 2021 Report Share Posted 21July, 2021 I heard a funny new rattle when I took my 993 around the block - when I got home I realised the third brake light mounting plate has come away from the rear window on the left side - and the right side looks a bit sketchy as well. Has anyone tried to re-attach these? What did you use? My first thought was the 3M tape used for rearview mirror mounts.. but not sure how that goes outside..? pocketscience Posted 22July, 2021 Author Report Share Posted 22July, 2021 I had no idea just how many different double-sided tape products 3M has! I've ordered a couple of types to see how they go. Much cheaper than new mounts which are $60 each from Porsche and need to come from Germany..

Bunnings has some specific for house numbers for letterboxes/brick, therefore suitable for outside. I ended up using it for my bonnet badge for my daily and it sure is not going anywhere! pocketscience
pocketscience Posted 22July, 2021 Author Report Share Posted 22July, 2021 Yeah, I looked at Bunnings, but ended up with some of the more professional-use options that indicate glass as a suitable substrate. Fingers crossed! P-Kay
