Chris-p Posted 5February, 2013 Report Share Posted 5February, 2013 Hi Everyone, Ann and I are planning a trip to the US in Later in the year. Last year we went and drove past a place called The Petersen Museum which is opposite the museum of modern art. It's a museum dedicated to the automobile and was given a huge rap. Unfortunately the day we were there was a Monday and yes it is closed Mondays! So thought that we would stop in LA for a day to visit it. Would be interested to know if anyone has been there. Website looks awesome.... www.petersen.org Cheers C
Airflower Posted 6February, 2013 Report Share Posted 6February, 2013 I’ve heard a little about it from my friends, but never visited. I’ll be looking forward for picture so that I can make my mind to visit the museum.
tdc911 Posted 6February, 2013 Report Share Posted 6February, 2013 Went to the museum in 2009. It is well worth visiting but was a little bit of a letdown for me as I had just been to Monterey week for the first time. From memory the special themes at the time were TV/Movie cars, supercars and Hybrids. They have a rotating display with many of their better cars kept in storage on site.
