Joz Posted 30September, 2022 Report Share Posted 30September, 2022 Well the story so far, I bought a Sony AX1000 head unit from Supercheap (good deal) Had it installed by a pro installer, nice and neat also did a reverse camera at the same time. Anyhow the unit has proved faulty as the microphone or microphone feature within the unit has crapped itself. Good news, take it back to Supercheap as its under warranty. Bad news, the installer didn't supply it so won't remove and reinstall for free. (I get that too). So I'm just wondering if anyone can help with removal or have the little removal jiggers? I'm in Bayside Melbourne/Elwood, or I can travel. TIA Joz
TwoHeadsTas Posted 30September, 2022 Report Share Posted 30September, 2022 There's a couple of different types of tools mate, some have a curved end like a scalpel (for the Becker CDR units), others are different shapes (eg square end for the Continental). If you know which one you specifically need, let me know as I have sets of both of those and can post over, or they may come with a trim removal tool set which can be handy to have anyway - Supercheap etc.....
