NiX Posted 25March, 2013 Report Share Posted 25March, 2013 Hi all, My Boxster (03) was imported by the original owner to Oz in 09. It had a PCM II installed as a optional extra & the Sat Nav is on CD Rom - which I have but its UK version, a tad useless. I have been searching for the Oz version, rang Porsche, they told me WhereIs did the orginal mapping service for Porsche but stopped in 2005. I was hoping that someone might know (or point me in the right direction) if I can use any other mapping CD, TomTom for example to be able to use the Sat nav function on the PCM II. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Nick

withers Posted 25March, 2013 Report Share Posted 25March, 2013 Yeh please do... be good to keep this info on the forum for future members info. You could also ask Weltmeister/Autohaus Hamilton independents too. They might be more likely to know the tricks than a P dealer would.
NiX Posted 26March, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 26March, 2013 Had a email response from Jon, very helpful and a few options. 1. Look for someone with the CD & copy it - only downfall with that is its not the most up to date map. 2. See if the 987 (04-05) is compatible if so, fit that and look for a DVD - easier to get future updates. Will look into option 2 and see what pans out.
