johnno Posted 28February, 2023 Report Share Posted 28February, 2023 We have owned a 2018 GTS for 12 months, our second Macan. Recently the PCM system started acting up, not starting up properly and restarting over 10 or 15 minutes before coming good. Booked it in with Porsche Brighton for an extended warranty repair which took a day to verify. Parts not immediately available locally or overseas, a month later another day at Brighton and the PCM system was replaced. Our few experiences with extended warranty have been good and happy to pay for it. The car is serviced by a third party workshop.

Hi Johnno- we just got a macan that has always previously been serviced with porsche. I intend to service at an independent workshop. Just confirming you had no issues? johnno Posted 8June, 2023 Author Report Share Posted 8June, 2023 Reggie - no issues with PCM replacement under warranty. Now time to renew our warranty and the dealer has pushed for copies of invoices from our service guys that confirm genuine parts have been used. They've also discovered a warranty update involving the instrument cluster that they need the car for a day, then supposedly extended warranty will be renewed. It feels like the dealer is being a bit slow with things but the renewal will happen.
