Foyley Posted 4November, 2014 Report Share Posted 4November, 2014 Team, Im hoping you can assist with the correct process for replacing the wrist pin / Gudgeon bushes in my 1986 - 944 Turbo. The part number of the bushes I have are the same as I removed but with some differences. The new bushes are well under size leading me to think they are not pre reamed which will mean ill have to have them finished reamed once installed. The second issue is the old bushes have oil supply drillings in them and the new ones don't! So my questions are many Is there a different part number bush? Do I need to finish ream them? Do I drill the holes in the bushes once installed? Please note the Porsche manual makes no reference to any of the above! so any assistance will be greatly appreciated? SteveT Posted 4November, 2014 Report Share Posted 4November, 2014 In my experience they (any new small end bushes) would have to be reamed to suit your nice shiney new gudgeon pins and of course have the oil galleries drilled prior to reaming. Please note I don't have Porsche specific experience here, just general knowledge.
