I have had the York gear removed....as it seemed dead weight and didn't acheive a thing..... Keen to hear how it goes for you.. Caledonian Posted 11November, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 11November, 2014 My original A/C is in place and works (1978 style) and while its nothing to write home about it is better than none, and it was cheaper to replace the very tired, leaky and huge York compressor with a Sanden 507 which is smaller,lighter and more efficient. I don't expect to get a modern performance from the original set up by just adding a modern compressor but i'm confident it will be an improvement. I will let you know how i go.
