Guest Harold Posted 25November, 2014 Report Share Posted 25November, 2014 Took the car for a drive this afternoon and had a message come up telling me I need an oil change in either 17 days or 17,200 kms. Given I am just about to click over 5,000 kms I guess it will be the former. Curious, is this simply an oil change or do they also do additional work? I have probably only travelled 1200 kms since the last service which included an oil change.
GC9911 Posted 25November, 2014 Report Share Posted 25November, 2014 Harold, You need to do more K's to get your value out of the services. There is an Autohaus Hamilton drive day on the 14th!
Russ Posted 26November, 2014 Report Share Posted 26November, 2014 The owners manual sometimes gives you a breakdown of what they will do at each service. For fairly low KM services they normally just inspect a few things, dry lube door seals, change oil.
Guest Harold Posted 26November, 2014 Report Share Posted 26November, 2014 Greg, you are right and I will make it a New Years resolution. Too many functions in December for the 14th but I am open to such things. I think I will join the Porsche club of NSW. Thanks Russ, I think I wil just put the thing in and pay whatever the cost is and smile.
