Rupertlove Posted 28January, 2015 Report Share Posted 28January, 2015 !998 996 C2 Anyone with experience using Durametric to wipe code P1602 ? I`m trying to wipe the ABWL but code P1602 is there preventing me Apparently P1602 is about power failure or short to earth, and occurs when the battery has been disconnected..or the DME disconnected. All electrics on my beast work fine and no elec fault is apparent. Any input gratefully received. cheers Rupert
Pauly Posted 28January, 2015 Report Share Posted 28January, 2015 Never used it. But if it's like any other OBD2 reader. press clear all error codes.
Russ Posted 29January, 2015 Report Share Posted 29January, 2015 might be worth sending IAM_911 a PM, he has a Durametric and a 996 so he might have run into this before. hope it's not something you need PIWIS to remove

IAM_911 Posted 30January, 2015 Report Share Posted 30January, 2015 Thank Russ for remembering I had one. I will look into P1602 possible causes. Durametic tool should wipe everything clean. But if the problem causing the P code is still there the P code will come back instantly only in some cases. P1602 may be one of those cases. I need to go back home first go through the documentation. Thats not going to be before sunday. Hopefully it will fix it self by then
