Anybody interested in making a day of it?

We could use it as an excuse to catch up with each other.

Dave

I will certainly be popping in to have a look so happy to join a few of us if it happens.

Hi guys,

I will probably be participating in the outdoor display with the TYP 901 Register.

Not sure if I'll do Saturday or Sunday yet...whichever way I guess I'll be standing guard duty ;):)

I think this will be a great gig for Porschophiles.

Make sure you drop by the TYP 901's.

Cheers,

Doug

Hi Dave,

Good idea, I get back from germany on the Saturday night so I will probably go in for a look on Sunday afternoon. If you are around then it would be great to catch up.

Cheers

Chris

OK, it's a fair way off but I see no reason why I can't head in on the Sunday afternoon.

How does that suit you Nico?

I will have a chat to Steve and see if he is interested.

Sunday sounds good for me, I will pencil it in, I am flexible for other dates if needed.

Dave, I am now putting the Coxster in the PCV display which is being held next to the MOTORCLASSIC venue. So I will be there bright and early Sunday morning (23rd Oct) I believe a ticket is also given to participants so I will see you either at the display or catch up with you in there later in the day.

Damn! Would have liked to have entered this but have a work AGM in Adelaide.

Shame you can't make it, definitely keep it in mind for next year though. It's Normally good event for socialising and doing what we do best....

perving on Porsches and this time with the MOTORCLASSICA show on next door, even better.

I went on Saturday and enjoyed all the cars.

Doug your car looked great, thank goodness for PORSCHE they all certainly made the show for me.

The 962 AND 906 as well as that glorious Carrera GT sat beautifully amongst a bevy of beauties. Outside the 356 display and early 911's drew a good crowd.

I think next time it would be a good chance for all forum members to display our cars on one of the days and show Melbourne what real cars should look like.

Thanks Kevin.

I couldn't believe the condition that the Concours 356's were in.

Can a car be in too good a condition to drive?

Absolutely.

Once they are concours the car's useful life is finished as far a I am concerned.

It now becomes just another painting or piece of antique furniture.

To be fair though there are those that only require that out of a car and owning the prettiest one is all that matters.

Never could get it myself, I much rather derive my pleasure from the use of.

I went as well on the saturday, some amazing cars both inside and out including the type 901s and my personal favourite 356 outlaw. Took the camera and got a few good ones, i still can't figure out how to show them on here but heres a link (mostly porsches):

Nice shots, the rain drops even enhance the photos. The outlaw is a favourite.

I'm with you re putting photos on, tried on numerous occasions but can never achieve the result.

I've tried to bring them across from Photobucket, but y skills are sadly lacking. I've got some shots from Sunday with the PCV cars but cannot get them on.

Hi Niko,

I am keen to see the PCV display.

Do you want to email your pics to me to post through Photobucket?

Cheers,

Doug

Hi Doug, I have sent the album to you via photobucket, hopefully it will be there by now. They can be accessed I think by searching niko986 on photobucket. If that doesn't work I will send them to your private email same as last time, if that is ok.

Thanks mate, appreciate your help.
