Trying to avoid the GC dealership if possible so any independent workshops that can be recommended would be greatly appreciated. My father is inspecting the car today so if things look good then we would move onto the PPI. Firstone, The workshop in Miami sounds like the workshop the owner has been using for the last few years so I was hoping to get a more neutral opinion but will try and work out who they are and give them a call at the very least. I am looking at another 986 Boxster so we aren't exactly talking about a '73 RS (or anything close) Still i feel the PPI is crucial.Cheers for the help guys! qstoria Posted 26April, 2016 Author Report Share Posted 26April, 2016 Based on a decent PPI which revealed a few things but no show stoppers we did end up buying the car. We got a good price then had some further work done (fluids etc) before driving it back.It was a 2003 2.7 986 and overall I must say that the despite the noticeable power difference between it and my previously owned 3.2 986, the car is still an absolute blast to drive.
