exhaust mods

Hi All,

 

I have a 2005 955 CTT and am looking at possibly modifying the exhaust.

I live in Melbourne, and my brother ( who lives in Brisbane ) runs an exhaust shop that specializes in custom performance exhaust work.

Not 100% sure yet if he will do the work or if I will buy off the shelf kit.

What have others done ?

Any issues ?  error code issues etc ?

Im thinking secondary CAT delete,  and removing the big ugly rear muffler and replacing it with a pair of nice free flowing mufflers, but retaining the other pipework and  the standard tips .

Any thoughts on this ??

 

Looking for a but more rumble out of the back ( too quiet ) ,  and a few more ponies, but I don't want it to negatively affect the current all round driving ability it has , as it is my daily drive and also tow car for our caravan.

I have a Gemballa exhaust system on my 4.5, and it's freaking awesome - quiet around town but loud enough when the go pedal is pushed

disappointed to find out it's made of mild steel though!

I'd be going for something custom made out of stainless and I'd assume you'd get something much better for a fraction of the 'brand name' systems

I just purchased a 2006 Cayenne S  4.5 and I want to make the exhaust beefy, I don't want to pay the 3000k price. the turbos are beefy and what mods can I do up the hp.
