MFX Posted 17September, 2016 Report Share Posted 17September, 2016 Ok, so Mark aka 'Bumble', has graciously lent me his engine stand and yoke, but to complete the tear down I have realised that I also need the cam removal tools. Just thought I would try here first to see if anyone has some they would lend to me, or sell to me to save me ordering them and waiting for them to get here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Jeff.
Harvs11 Posted 17September, 2016 Report Share Posted 17September, 2016 PM your address and I'll send you a crow's foot. The other special tool isn't absolutely needed. A 17mm open end spanner can be used to hold the camshaft.
Harvs11 Posted 17September, 2016 Report Share Posted 17September, 2016 This pic shows the closeness to the casing and oil cooler hence the need for the rebates in the mounting ring. Also the bolt spacers I turned up to fit alongside the ring gear.
MFX Posted 18September, 2016 Author Report Share Posted 18September, 2016 Thanks mate, PM sent. I got the yoke from Bumble which is a home made job, but it looks the goods and apparently it works so I will be mounting that up in a few minutes. We will see how it all goes, but it should be easy enough to get the engine on and off the stand if need be, as I have it on a lift table at the moment
Harvs11 Posted 19September, 2016 Report Share Posted 19September, 2016 Crow's foot is on It's way. I always wanted to be a movie star. I never thought it'd be in a homemade video of some bloke in a shed playing with my tool.
