944 Misfire

Hi all,

I haven't driven my 944 for about 6 weeks, then took her for a spin tonight. She's developed a misfire while I let her sit.

Are there any common places I should check first?

Was running beautifully prior to parking her up.

Cheers

This happened to my 86 and i didn't think much of it at first then one day it stopped and would not start. It was the rotor button, dizzy cap and plug leads all combining to cause the miss. The first place i would look is the coil to dizzy lead, where the lead screws into the lead caps becomes corroded and contact is lost, a clean up is all that may be needed.

Did you find the misfire or do you think it's the spark plugs and that's why you are asking in your other thread.

Took the plugs out yesterday and two were totally carbonated. Like really badly.

Going to get a new set to see if that solves the issue. Hopefully know tomorrow.

Cheers for the tips.
