Wheel respray - Melbourne

Weens

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I am researching respraying the wheels on my 981 cayman from black to platinum satin. Can anyone recommend who is best to speak to in Melbourne for this? I don't want to trust the job to just anyone. If they can also paint brake callipers that would be a bonus. Thanks in advance.

You could also these guys - http://www.newaywheelrepairs.com.au/ but they only do wheels

I want to get my 924 Turbo wheels refurbished. I have just started to look around, Neway quoted me around $180/wheel just for a repaint. For a full hydroblast strip, patch/fill and repaint they were talking around $370/Wheel.

For Calipers - Im getting them hydroblasted and then High Temp coated by these guys, they did all of the work on my 928 and do a fantastic job. Havent asked them about wheels yet, they might even be able to do those http://www.hpcoatings.com.au/

I am still looking around at this stage for the wheels, I might try Wheel Solutions. Im in no hurry, these guys all seem to be crazy busy around xmas

Its a labour of love, someone has to keep these old babes on the road. Everyone laughed at me when I bought a 928, the 924T will have its day in the sun dont you worry

@ozvino - Thanks heaps, I checked out HP coatings website and note they are in Leongatha which is handy,  as I spend a lot of weekends in Inverloch... I shall check them out.

Hi Weens, just a heads up on the callipers .. maybe not relevant but I used HP coatings for a set of extractors on a big block Chev and just a usual "alloy look" coating and they discoloured to "grey crap colour" within 1000ks of usual street use .... I've spoken to http://www.advancedalloys.com.au/contact in Moorabbin for some wheels and they came recommended to me, been around for ages and apparantly a great job. Haven't had any done by them but they did sound very good and reassuring on the phone and around $400 a wheel for repairs and paint
