dan_189 Posted 9June, 2017 Report Share Posted 9June, 2017 Hey all,Anyone have any experience with a vacuum coolant filling tool? Any specific model anyone is using? From what I've seen the Uview Airlift is quite popular so i'm most likely going to buy that one.Reason I ask is I need to replace the coolant cover on the back right (bank 4-6) of my M96 as it has a very slight intermittent weep from the gasket and need to drain the coolant + refill it.The standard bleeding procedure using the vent valve is too long and complicated so i'm happy to invest in the tool. Thoughts?
James P Posted 9June, 2017 Report Share Posted 9June, 2017 Never used the vac tool but replaced coolant many times on GT cars after component replacement / crash. All i do is jack up the rear of the car so the fill tank is above the front radiators & fill it up until it stops taking coolant then run engine to warm then give it some big rev's with the vent valve open, let it cool a bit fill again then drive & fill again etc... yes it can be time consuming but its not that hard.. dan_189 Posted 9June, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 9June, 2017 Thanks James, the vacuum tool makes it look so simple! I already have a compressor so buying tools for it has become a hobby! Going to order one soon, ill report back!
