AC78 Posted 19July, 2017 Report Share Posted 19July, 2017 I'm looking to replace the fuel lines that run from tank to engine on my SC.Has anybody purchased the parts locally? From Pirtek or maybe genuine Porsche? There is a guy on Pelican who fabricates stainless lines for air cooled cars and he gets very good reviews.Just seeking opinions before I dig in.Cheers, Alex
neill Posted 19July, 2017 Report Share Posted 19July, 2017 Having just replaced mine, it isn't a fun job. I think hard lines would have made it worse also. I used Teflon braid with AN fittings.
vl gra Posted 19July, 2017 Report Share Posted 19July, 2017 I have made them before but not on a Porsche. I bought aeroflow hard line which is very easy to form to shape.

AC78 Posted 19July, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 19July, 2017 Thanks for the feedback guys.Peter M - yes I am familiar with that thread, and it all sounds rather daunting. Seems there are several methods to choose from. The BoxsterGT guy is the one who sells the custom lines i'm thinking about.I will likely save this job for when I have engine out. This means you have to work out another way to pay him ( & I dont think he can/will take a CCard either). I suggest you research ways to pay someone in USA before you contact him. I also think he maybe retiring soon. - but not really sure about this.
