Pretty unlikely members will ever see another listing like it. Its for an enthusiast. For sale is a Turbo Kit made for year 2000+ (ie, not cable throttle) Porsche 996 C2 or C4. Also for 997. Its the most popular one in the US made by TPC Racing. In competition form, the makers claim 520HP. Software to upgrade your DME, depending on your model/year, is available from TPC.. This is a Bosch MAF based system. In street form expect 90 to 150Hp improvement. On PFA theres mention of one other known kit in Australia installed impressively in a yellow 996 . A member commented that he believed it was the fastest Porsche he`d driven. With this kit and the comparatively low C2 weight, your car would have a better power to weight ratio than a 996 TT. The kit is in excellent condition & was used for about 30k miles on a Canadian C4. The owner removed it when selling his car. It was imported to Australia at great expense in late 2017 with the intention of fitting it to a C2. Unfortunately, the owner is now ill and unable to make the fitting, hence the kit is for sale. Its comparatively straightforward to fit, requiring little modification of your car. Workshop skills and mechanical experience are recommended for fitting. The reviews indicate that the kit retains the M96 engines good manners and tractability while introducing considerably more power after say 2800rpm. Response is good with little lag. Much greater gains could be achieved with water/methanol injection. This kit also has the included option of an improved Intercooler having roughly twice the cooling capacity of the TPC intercooler. It also features much shorter and larger turbo air delivery pipes and more direct routing. A considerable improvement in turbo response would be expected with the alternative IC and piping. A 3.5 inch hole needs to be made in the inner bodywork for the IC piping. In conjunction with the alternative IC is a neat short intake and aircleaner which sits up behind the right rear wheel. This setup alows much improved breathing. Its placement takes in cool outside air. Not air from the engine compartment. Two mufflers are included with the kit. A larger semi baffled type for OE sounds and a louder shorter glass packed muffler. Two new SS tips also included should there be a need to relocate the outlets. A set of 600cc injectors recommended by TPC also included. There are pics available to genuine buyers showing the kit components, and the alternative included improved IC and aircleaner. IC cooling is by 30 row radiator located in the cars left rear wing with a 9 inch fan controlled by a thermo switch. Cooling water pipes are AN10. with a filler cap. Theres a Bosch and an aftermarket pump to choose from - both included. Not included but intended for the same installation is a new & pretty Innovate Boost gauge and wiring chosen for its quality and to suit the 996/997 dash/interior. This is available at AUD300 For those thinking about weight, the OE parts that need to be removed to fit the kit is roughly the same as the kits weight. The pics here shows a kit installed, and an array of the general parts. There are no mods to your bumper cover. However, the rear bumper is dispensed with to make way for a muffler. New from TPC, not including import cost/ taxes to Australia is USD10,000. This kit is offered at AUD5200 OVNO. The kit is located in the Blue Mts NSW.
