SteamWolf Posted 27November, 2012 Report Share Posted 27November, 2012 Hi all, my '82 SC has a single exhaust, which I feel is one less than the minimum requirement. So I need to buy a rear valence with the second exhaust cutout. Is there a supplier in Oz, or do I need to risk it surviving a trip from Pelican? Or do people just omit it, or cut the stock one? smule Posted 27November, 2012 Report Share Posted 27November, 2012 you cant get an "OEM twin outlet" valence for an sc / 3.2, they've all been modified by owners..
SteamWolf Posted 27November, 2012 Author Report Share Posted 27November, 2012 It doesn't have to be OEM. Aftermarket is fine. A link to a supplier of any kind would be just dandy.
JustJames Posted 27November, 2012 Report Share Posted 27November, 2012 If you're going to be cutting one, you may as well cut the one that you have already...at least it's the same colour as the rest of your car. I've got ocean freight shipments coming in every two months or so, and I'd be happy to include a valence for you if you'd like me to, but in all honesty, you're better off editing the one that you have on the car. SteamWolf Posted 28November, 2012 Author Report Share Posted 28November, 2012 Fair enough, I might as well hack it up then I was hoping I could put it away and refit it if I need to put it back to stock.
Red3.2 Posted 28November, 2012 Report Share Posted 28November, 2012 Easy way and cleaner job is find a waterjet cutter in your area, they will be able to program and mirror image the cut for you, better than hole cutters or Lasers as the water jet doesn't heat up the Valance and damage the paint. SteamWolf Posted 28November, 2012 Author Report Share Posted 28November, 2012 Thanks for the tip! I'll see if I can find a place that does laser cutting, because lasers are AWESOME! I might bring some other stuff along just to see if they'll cut them in half for me. Now where did I leave that old laptop...
