Just about to Buy It Now on a steering wheel in suede and have been PM'd some interesting facts that suede wheels do not last very long before getting worn out and looking a mess. Has anyone else got a suede wheel and can confirm this and would it be recomended over normal leather. Wheel i have chosen comes in both so appreciate any experience you may have on the subject ie go with suede or no stick to leather. Car is not a daily driver anymore thanks to Syd traffic being a joke so its weekends etc and do about 5000KM a year. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sweat will degrade the suede, we generally wear gloves in rally car, this cuts this issue down somewhat, Other than that, normal wear (or patina), which can be taken care of with cleaners Greg Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
