Merv Posted 31May, 2020 Report Share Posted 31May, 2020 I had one of these Sprint Boosters on a former Cayman and found it got around the throttle lag that was built into the car. I see that the V3 is available and wondered how they would go on a 996 Turbo Tip? Alternatively, can one get the stock ECU to sharpen up the initial throttle response? (I know you can just press the pedal more ...).

dan_189 Posted 9June, 2020 Report Share Posted 9June, 2020 Have heard okay things about these, you can't sharpen the throttle response by altering the DME though one of these units would be the way to go. To be honest I wouldn't put one in a turbo - I'd want to retain as much throttle control as possible - in an NA it might be beneficial. Merv Posted 10June, 2020 Author Report Share Posted 10June, 2020 Good point Dan. I really liked my Booster on a Cayman, but it didn't have the grunt of a Turbo and with the PB they could be hard to handle at low speeds.
