Just want to clear up I am the Luke you mention here and I have no affiliation with David. I know him he lives around the corner from me, I purchased a 944 from him a year ago. He did contact me asking if I was interested in building a turbo engine for one of his friends using my pistons and his block. I told him what was required to build such an engine but I was not interested in building it personally but happy to sell him the parts.

Sorry to hear of your situation I hope this all gets sorted out. Feel free to contact me if you want.

Sort of. I had a chat with both parties over the situation. Dave F got an engine in parts apparently it was all there but a pile of parts not a ready to run engine. I think he was happy enough in the end to just accept what he got. The whole situation was very poorly handled on David C’s behalf. I spoke my piece to him and told him to sort his #hit out. I know David likes to embellish the truth but never took him as an outright scammer.

That said I inspected everything I bought from him in person, if I was on the other side of the country or a blind man his description vs what I was looking at were worlds apart.
