SM911 Posted 14March, 2021 Report Share Posted 14March, 2021 Unless your current tail is a one piece fiberglass one, you won’t need a new deck lid. Most tails are bolted on to standard steel deck lids. Your best option is probably to remove the whole engine lid, then remove the tail. Get a repairer to patch the holes and repaint the deck lid. It is highly likely that you’ll need to get another tail painted anyway, so you’re paying to get a few small patches done rather than buying a whole new lid. You’ll still need to buy a grille though.
