ByronBayChris Posted 9February, 2013 Report Share Posted 9February, 2013 My alarm has started to beep continuously. It started a couple of days ago where it would sound the alarm for 1 cycle then stop. It did this a couple of times each day. Just now, it sounded the alarm for 30 seconds, then reset, and sounded it again. Did it for 15 minutes, which was the time it took me to get home after SWMBO rang and 'told' me I was waking the kids....... What would be the first things to check? JustJames Posted 9February, 2013 Report Share Posted 9February, 2013 I may be way off base here, but don't some alarms get nervous when the battery voltage starts to drop? If I'm not smoking my socks, it might be worth checking battery health and/or putting the battery on a trickle charger.
ByronBayChris Posted 9February, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 9February, 2013 Battery is only 13 weeks old, so I hope not. I will test it now. Thx
wasserkuhl Posted 9February, 2013 Report Share Posted 9February, 2013 yep. battery first. then call a mobile auto sparky to come and diagnose If your battery is low after only 13 weeks then get the sparky to test the alternator, it may be under charging or failing.
