Bradmarsh Posted 13February, 2013 Report Share Posted 13February, 2013 Hi Guys, I have a cayman (2.9l) 09, and I am looking to squeeze a little more out of it. From what I understand the easiest and cheapest way to do this is performance chip. But I am not even sure where to start with this. I am looking for Sydney based shops that fit and tune. I'd also be keen to hear peoples experiences with them, are they worth it are they not?

Russ Posted 7March, 2013 Report Share Posted 7March, 2013 APR chips are popular amongst VW's and work well, don't know about Porsches though. the Mullers in sydney are an APR dealer so should be able to steer you in the right direction otherwise, maybe you should get a powerchip. Vas Posted 5June, 2013 Report Share Posted 5June, 2013 Brad, keep in mind most performance chips just give a bit more in the top end. Sometimes you may be worse off in the low to mid range. Have a good look at the dyno charts of the mob you are interested in before you jump in. Good luck.
Bradmarsh Posted 5June, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 5June, 2013 I have gone down the softronic route, I can easily toggle between factory and the 'tune' so from a warranty point of view I am covered.
