donR Posted 7September, 2022 Report Share Posted 7September, 2022 Thought I'd post my experience with ordering TPMS sensors for those who are also looking. Firstly for my 982 Cayman the trade price on OEM sensors came to $1451.60 for the set! I had previously purchased from TPMS direct but they will no longer ship international, along with their affiliated companies, so that was unfortunate. There are lots of suppliers but many are much more expensive. TPMS direct are still useful to enter your car model details and see what part # and freq you require:https://www.tpmsdirect.com/PORSCHE_718_Caymana_TPMS_s/1732.htm I ended up purchasing the usual and same as TMPS direct Huf IntelliSens ones from an ebay seller (there are lots of them) autosupplydirect who seemed knowledgable and ended up being a little cheaper:https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/254427866301 I'm yet to try these but after a bit of a wait they arrived and all look good and I'm told come pre-programmed. I did have some concern whether or not these things can be old stock and have limited life but this is a second set for my track wheels so wont be doing too much. (PS. I just noted these things are dated 23/04/22, so should have plenty of life in them). As a back up I found this place in Victoria. I quizzed them on the phone and they also seemed very knowledgeable and offer pre-programmed and mentioned they have hundreds. My other ones above showed up in time so I did not try these, but they would be useful if you need the sensors in a hurry, like a day or two, and the price is quite good for a set of four. https://www.tpms.com.au/products/porsche-oe-replacement-tpms-sensor-oe-p-n-9a790727502-freq-433mhz?variant=40868448632999 Anyway, I'm sure there are other suppliers people know of so please post here if you wish. I will update on the ebay ones once they are fitted! Beau

9fan Posted 12September, 2022 Report Share Posted 12September, 2022 I have just received the HUF TSSRE4D VW AG which suits my 718 and should be read by the computer after 25km of driving. Just waiting on the rims and waiting to hear your results.
9fan Posted 8November, 2022 Report Share Posted 8November, 2022 Rims arrived earlier and fitted the above. Just reset the rim type in the vehicle settings and after about 25 kms the tpms popped up with no problems. Found them on ebay for about $120 and delivered in a few days.
