smule Posted 11April, 2013 Report Share Posted 11April, 2013 Ok so ive been reading numerous threads on Pelican / Rennlist about the "variances" in India Red (Indischrot) and guards red Some say Indi has more orange the guards others say the same... Does anyone have experiences or a definitive answer on this . Looking for a simple yes or no from those in the know ... are they the same colour when applied ? hugh Posted 12April, 2013 Report Share Posted 12April, 2013 I had my car resprayed in 'guards red' and it seems that there are a few variations of the colour - all are so very slight. I have however parked alongside another PFA members car and noticed a difference being more 'orange' between the 'guards red' of mine and the 'guards red' of his.....................? smule Posted 12April, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 12April, 2013 Thanks hugh, I've noticed there is a few tints on the factory code LM3A and it indeed had me wondering... was your car done in a solid or clear over base ?

SteamWolf Posted 12April, 2013 Report Share Posted 12April, 2013 Not to mention when paint is replicated by a paint shop it's with a bunch of different tint bases, and it's never exactly the same each time. This is why they mix the paint in one batch when they do a respray. So two Guards Red cars next to each other may look slightly different. Also, it will fade differently depending on where the car has lived.
