Simonk Posted 20April, 2013 Report Share Posted 20April, 2013 Hi guys This weeks maintenance issue is a squeak coming from the front right. Only audible over large slow compression bumps. Turning doesn't seem to effect it. No squeak over small chattery bumps. If I stand on the door sill and bounce, it gets it squeaking badly. I took a look underneath and couldn't see anything obvious other than it looked like (excuse my lack of terminology) the joint at the end of the steering rod/arm thingy with the tow adjustment looked a bit greasy. Maybe silicon spray by the previous owner to cover the squeak? Anyway, once I lowered the car off the jack, the squeak had gone. I haven't taken it for a drive yet but bouncing on the door sill doesn't produce the squeak any more. Any thoughts?
