911 Posted 1April Report Share Posted 1April Hi guys, I got my car serviced recently (late model 3.2) and when I got it back, I realised that the the two bolts that were here have been removed. Does anyone know what they're for? Can't seem to figure it out. Hopefully it's not something important that they've forgotten to put back in. Peter M Posted 2April Report Share Posted 2April Nothing factory. Suspect they were mounting holes for an aftermarket security system or a stereo amplifier.

Thanks Peter. I'm not sure if they are or not. I've seen them in other Aussie cars and it's strange that they were removed during a service if they have no purpose, which makes me think they are there from factory. Peter M Posted 4April Report Share Posted 4April Just checked a photo of my '85, no holes. As I said earlier my '88 doesn't either. I've never noticed anything in the PET after many hours of perusal.
Buchanan Automotive Posted 5April Report Share Posted 5April They are not factory holes, We have seen so many 3.2's with a CD stacker in that location, aftermarket, and they just drill straight through the floor for mounting Regards Sean Peter M
911 Posted 5April Author Report Share Posted 5April Thanks for that. I will use some grommets to fill the holes. I thought because I saw it on the second car, maybe it was factory, but just a big coincidence.
