MB911 Posted 8July, 2013 Report Share Posted 8July, 2013 I've recently changed my 944 from my daily driver to my weekend car. The thing that is getting me at the moment is the dust. I'm lucky to be driving it once a week at the moment, but have to wash it every week just from the dust. It is in my garage, so I don't need an outdoor waterproof style cover. Can anyone recommend a good soft, indoor cover to protect it from the dust and the occasional rub as one of my boys walks by too close?
hugh Posted 8July, 2013 Report Share Posted 8July, 2013 contact David on 03 9751 1726, softest car covers you will find - bunch of colours and sewn to fit. Cheers,
Ben C3.o Posted 9July, 2013 Report Share Posted 9July, 2013 I'm just using a couple of flannelet sheets from the linen cupboard but might give David a call for some more info as I would like a fitted cover.

tk111 Posted 9July, 2013 Report Share Posted 9July, 2013 Mark, I think the problem is not the lack of cover, BUT the lack of driving to blow the dust off! Hope to see you at the next smt.. Terry

mockney999 Posted 26November, 2013 Report Share Posted 26November, 2013 I am surprised Porsche dont offer an OEM car cover, I would also like to find one for mine when its stored in the garage. I will try the contact number offered and check out prices.
Ben C3.o Posted 26November, 2013 Report Share Posted 26November, 2013 I ended up getting a Carcoon, so far very happy with it. I can't see any dust getting in there once she is all tucked away. I washed her on Sunday so I will be interesting to see if she is dust free in a week or two.
webrest Posted 28November, 2013 Report Share Posted 28November, 2013 This is the company Hugh is recommending. Dave Hosking the proprietor is an old mate and customer of mine from a previous life. By coincidence I have just finished speaking to him less than a couple of hours ago at a social function that we both were attending. I can guarantee that anyone who purchases a cover from him will be more than satisfied with the end result. R.
