Pauly Posted 7January, 2014 Report Share Posted 7January, 2014 Interesting. I wouldn't use e10 at all either, regardless.. But having said that. Some of out older porsches can handle e85 and will not damage fuel systems. But obviously some things will need to be changed to handle the amount of fuel (33% extra) being pushed into your engine. There have been many members on Rennlist who run e85 in their Porsche 944 turbos with only replacing the fuel pumps to a bosch 044 unit (stock fuel pump can handle 350rwhp e85) and injectors to something like 850cc injectors just to compensate. You'll need an e85 tune too. and it's very recommended to change the rubber fuel lines just because they're over 20 years of age. The fuel tank is fine, lines can handle it, Engine loves it. My car is e85 ready, all i need to do is swap fuel pumps (because of the amount of power my car puts out), new filter and plug in the jumper wire to the computer that tell it that it's running e85. off i go. I can also crank the boost from the usual 17-18 psi to a whopping 25psi and produce near enough 380 rwkw
