Russ Posted 11May, 2014 Report Share Posted 11May, 2014 got temperature issues? do you have temp markings as standard or just the white/red bar?
Pauly Posted 11May, 2014 Report Share Posted 11May, 2014 I guess they'd work. But some times factory gauges aren't accurate as aftermarket ones. Id suggest this if you buy it: - Install it - Remove sensor - Extend wires - Boil water & Dip sensor into water. Use accurate thermometer to measure temp and compare. Caledonian Posted 11May, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 11May, 2014 got temperature issues? do you have temp markings as standard or just the white/red bar? No temp issues that I'm aware of, and yes just the white/red bar. There are temp markings on the gauge but you have to be a contortionist to see them:) I believe only early 911's had the markings on the gauge, don't know why they would change it to be honest? Russ Posted 11May, 2014 Report Share Posted 11May, 2014 my gauge is rather unreliable, I've had a pyrometer on the filter and the thermostat at 80 degrees and it was all up in the red (after having the oil cooler fitted) I fitted the cooler and now don't worry about it anymore, I do keep an eye on the gauge and if it ever gets to the red I know something will be wrong (fan stopped, belt broken, cooling issues)
