Peter Morgan's Q&A = useful advice for buyers

Recommended Posts

Anyone who has a copy of Peter Zimmerman';s "The Used 911 Story" will realise what an amazingly valuable aid this is in assessing 2nd hand 911s. An absolute gem of a book.

Peter Morgan is highly respected in Europe as someone who knows the ins and outs of used Porsches of all ilks. I thought this link may be of help to some of you scouring the net for your perfect Porker.

Nice find. That was really interesting the info about the 997 over-rev counter.

I'm assuming a good PPI of a later model porsche would include a study of the RPM history? It's pretty clear the 997 mentioned on that thread had been flogged very hard most of its life, something that would probably not be picked up by simply looking at the service history.

Makes me think this would be a good thing to find out when purchasing any used car.
