tazzieman Posted 27August, 2014 Report Share Posted 27August, 2014 Sooner or later I need to bite this bullet. With the manifold off, now might be a good time. Has anyone tackled this on an S1? It looks like the hard lines unscrew in the tunnel , which would be a bugger. All the kits/info seem to be for S2s. Any reason these wouldn't work on S1? Looks like I will need to cut hard lines at firewall etc

tazzieman Posted 27August, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 27August, 2014 Looks like this is the gear http://eagleday.stores.yahoo.net/944aefuli.html Except there is a 3 week supply delay. I may have to button her back up for now.
Rob Posted 27August, 2014 Report Share Posted 27August, 2014 Have you considered taking the original to NZ Hose or similar and getting them to make up another with the original fittings (I assume they're OK) and replacing the rubber bits? I did this on a previous 944 T for the line to fuel rail and from memory it cost about $40. Rob

The 2 hard lines need to be cut and rejoined at the firewall , seems the (cheap) kit is the easiest way to go. I had a 924 line replaced with original fittings locally , and labour cost was 1 hour... cyberpunky Posted 28August, 2014 Report Share Posted 28August, 2014 That kit looks exactly the same as the Rennbay kit I used on mine. Rennbay may be able to ship quicker ?
