TrevMcRev Posted 5October, 2014 Report Share Posted 5October, 2014 If you have, or stumble across a set of series 2 996 GT3 wheels as below, let me know!
hugh Posted 6October, 2014 Report Share Posted 6October, 2014 I think those wheels would look great on your car. I also think your car would look great as a GT3.............. Maybe you could just buy this http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-2004/SSE-AD-2654379/?Cr=25&sdmvc=1 and say you have just put wheels and a GT3 body kit on your car? TrevMcRev Posted 6October, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 6October, 2014 Mmmm yeah.... But just toying with the idea at the moment.... part of me wants too, part of me thinks it's both silly to do to a good original car, and silly to do full stop, as it is NOT a GT3.... It is the car I want but can't have due to no back seats. I love the look of them. I figure I could start with wheels....lower it a bit...intake & exhaust...then aero kit last if I really want to. Given the aero kit was a factory option it's not too wanky to do is it???
DJM Posted 6October, 2014 Report Share Posted 6October, 2014 Trev, I'd like a set of the GT2 version for my car. They came on the Mk2 GT2 in 2004 of which only 3 made it to Australia - hens teeth. The 18 x 2002 and 8 x 2003 Mk1 cars had turbo look wheels like mine but I much prefer the later rims. hugh Posted 6October, 2014 Report Share Posted 6October, 2014 I hear you re the back seats, having said that I have had the 964 for 4 months and used them now twice but it's cool to have them there - just in case. I don't think the kit is too wanky but some sweet after market wheels and a wrap could be just as much fun!
