Eddy Posted 7October, 2014 Report Share Posted 7October, 2014 My Boxster towed back to Melb Porsche centre this afternoon. It is because " Transmission emergency run" displayed on the dash board. Does anyone have this problems, does this is a serious problems?
Jimmy Posted 7October, 2014 Report Share Posted 7October, 2014 Here you go. Hope all goes well for you. http://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/489108-pdk-transmission-fault-transmission-emergency-run.html "low voltage. the new cars are veryyyy sensitive to lower voltages. He just let the car run, turned it off. Started it up and it went away. Putting the car on the battery tender overnight cleared up the faults." Coastr Posted 7October, 2014 Report Share Posted 7October, 2014 They should read the codes. It has probably gone into a limp-home mode. If it shows any low voltage codes replace the battery as already said.
Eddy Posted 7October, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 7October, 2014 The battery only 2 years old. The message happened twice in the early morning. Switch off and swtich on again, it runs no problems. Car in porsche centre now, hopefully they find the problems and fixed. Will post again when I have an answer from them.
