Pre flight it drips fuel, but it seals up due to the heat from the friction of the air at flight speeds. Amazing piece of engineering. Kinda like my Porsche. I saw a doco about it years ago. There have been a few good ones on foxtel recently about the A-12 and area 51 Here is a snippet.
