Mike737 Posted 20January, 2015 Report Share Posted 20January, 2015 When I change gears quickly I get a plastic sound similar to something cracking/clunking/clicking (the sound slightly changes between the 3). It happens when I'm trying to change gears quickly between 1-2, 2-3, 3-2, 2-1 and very occasionally 4-3. I've tried to get it to make the noise with the car turned off and can't get it to make the noise. It sounds as if its coming directly from where the gear selector is. Does anyone have any ideas where to start looking? Could it be one of the bayonet linkages? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
