I think I'd rather wait to see where Oculus Rift goes before committing to the sort of money where it really only adds a small improvement to the sense of gravity. I wonder whether the visual overload that OR might provide will surpass the "feel" of G's that this type of machine offers? The brain does weird things when sight is augmented... Which one of any of the drivers wouldn't have used the sim racing tool to learn and practice unfamiliar tracks, braking points, apexs etc? It is no substitute for the real thing, but I reckon it's a pretty amazing opportunity to experience something of that which is often otherwise prohibitive in the REAL, real world!
