SteamWolf Posted 1March, 2015 Report Share Posted 1March, 2015 So I've been trying to find a local source for berber seat fabric for my '82. It's the black and white open weave (or basket weave apparently). I can get it ex Germany but at $200 a linear meter it seems unreasonable to me. I'd just get it done in leather for that! Looks like this:
smule Posted 2March, 2015 Report Share Posted 2March, 2015 I'm big on original but no sure about Berber, have you considered a quality German vinyl as opposed to leather for a more original look? I used the below mob in the past who have an awesome range of fabrics and outstanding quality ... C'mon do it in plaid you know you want to http://www.werk924.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16&Itemid=

michel Posted 2March, 2015 Report Share Posted 2March, 2015 Btw it also looks similar to upholstery fabric used in Alfa 33 Quattro wagons
SteveF Posted 2March, 2015 Report Share Posted 2March, 2015 +1 for Pro Stitch. They did my headliner and door pockets. Good to deal with. (No affiliation - just a happy customer)
SteamWolf Posted 2March, 2015 Author Report Share Posted 2March, 2015 Thanks! I have contacted both. Let's see if they have any advice! Spotlight had similar fabric but the wrong colour. I'm not particuarly a fan of this stuff so if it all becomes too hard it'll get something nice and stylish rather than chase originality.
