Silver fish Posted 27March, 2015 Report Share Posted 27March, 2015 Hi All, I am new around here but have been lurking for a while. As the heading suggests I am looking for a 901. I have been following this forum (and other forums) for a while but not a real contributor as I still don't have a 901 to call my own! I am desperately looking for the following: 1: 901 Porsche (love the 993s, love the late G series, but has to be 901) 2: prefer 1970 - 1973 3: prefer RHD can be converted from LHD 4: Prefer coupe (not targa) 5: Able to be driven say 3 times a week (once / twice to work, plus a weekend drive) 6: Does not need to be matching no's. 7: Good bodywork without rust 8: Does not have to be original colour 9: Does not have to be perfect - I like a bit of a (drivable) project. 10: have $65k ready and waiting. Any leads or PMs greatly appreciated. Cheers, Mark.
SimonR Posted 27March, 2015 Report Share Posted 27March, 2015 Welcome Mark! Looks like you've got the right wish list and the right $$. Now comes the waiting game! It's not much fun, but part of the deal. Hopefully this'll shake some options out of the tree for you. Also worth posting on the typ901 forum and also the Aussie section of the earlysregistry if you haven't already.
ByronBayChris Posted 28March, 2015 Report Share Posted 28March, 2015 Mark, A couple of RS replicas on Carsales are in the price range. Don't discount LHD if you've never driven one in Australia. I am loving my LHD as it makes it just that little bit more of an event when I drive it. Good luck with your search - be quick, as you missed one the other day for $12,000 ! Coastr Posted 28March, 2015 Report Share Posted 28March, 2015 If you're not having any luck you could widen your search to the us like BBC above did. A much bigger pool of cars, though the exchange rate isn't what it used to be.
