Carrera86 Posted 28May, 2015 Report Share Posted 28May, 2015 My 911 3.2 Carrera it has the 930 turbo wheels as a factory option I have 8Jx16 on the front and 9J x 16 on the rear.. what would be a good opt tyre size to go for to suit best performance . The books seem to say 245/45/16 rear and 225/50/16 front (Bridgestone dont seem to make one in AU Anyone got any other options that work well ? Shady Speedway Posted 28May, 2015 Report Share Posted 28May, 2015 Toyo T1R 225 50 16 and 245 45 16. They both have the same height and tread pattern. Your 9 inch rims are quite rare by the way.
Pauly Posted 28May, 2015 Report Share Posted 28May, 2015 Yes the Toyo T1R are the only tyre that comes in the 245 45 r16. But the sidewalls are weak IMO and feels sloppy. An alternative is to get 205 55 r16 front and 225 50 r16 rear on a better tyre. like bridgestone potenza re002

KBGr4 Posted 28May, 2015 Report Share Posted 28May, 2015 There's also the Kuhmo semi slick V70A and they come in 225 45 or 50 x 16 and also 245 45 16 in both K60 medium and K90 hard compounds.
