Hellblau82 Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 Hi all there's a needle roller bearing that sits inside a bush on the lower steering column inside the smugglers box . Mine completely fell apart when I removed it so 1 I'm asking if anyone knows what I can use to replace this or if anyone sells a makeshift bearing that does the job? Fraz Posted 13June, 2015 Report Share Posted 13June, 2015 I contacted these guys when I was looking for the bearing for the rear fan motor. http://www.cgb.com.au/ They were super helpful, spent a lot of time with me measuring my old bearing and finding a replacement, all for a $14 sale. Russ Posted 17June, 2015 Report Share Posted 17June, 2015 did you see this? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/225643-steering-shaft-bearing-2.html If it is indeed a SKF HK1712, any bearing place that sells SKF should be able to get/have one. Or you could see what better options they have with suitable dimensions
