Torsion Bars 23 & 30 mm replica Cup 1 Wheels and Simmons 16" with Tyres

Recommended Posts

Trying to make some room under the house and so have listed some things on (shock horror) Ebay, in case anyone is interested in any of the above will be happy to discuss.

Selling  set of front 23 mm and rear 30mm solid Sway Away torsion bars,  fitted to my car for around 2000 km and then removed as I found them too high a rate for Targa events.

Set of Italian replica  Cup 1 wheels 7.5 (et15)  and 9 (et23) x 17" suit narrow body 911 one front has minor gutter damage. Fitted with usable tyres but they are old. Good track day wheels and offers a better selection of tyres for competition.

Gday kb. What are the sways  off.

Im doing up an 1980 SC. Want to set it up for mainly road and daily use with an odd track day. Would these be too stiff.

I'll be redoing all suspension and was leaning towards konis , nothing too stiff , just enough to give that pcar thrill.

Cheers hughesy

And yet some say they are not stiff enough,  favouring 23 /31 bars.

No really I agree,  too hard for a street car, makes it very  errrr demanding to keep in a straight line. Great for track days and hill climbing etc just not compliant enough for mere mortals on public roads. Rotating on a bumpy surface amongst other road users is not a good look !
